Cartier, Crystallization of Time

We planned and produced the website for “Cartier, Crystallization of Time,” held at The National Art Center, Tokyo. “Cartier, Crystallization of Time” opens at The National Art Center, Tokyo on October 2, 2019. With “time” as its theme, the exhibition traces the trajectory of Cartier’s ever-innovating design, centered on works from the 1970s to the present. We aimed for a website where, even on screen, you can feel the space and move around freely, as in the actual viewing experience at the venue. To express the exhibition’s worldview, we shot footage of the fixtures and materials used in each chapter and layered music suited to each chapter’s image, staging the refined atmosphere of the exhibition as a whole. In addition, by representing the crystallization of gemstones as particles, we expressed the invisible “time.” Beyond the website, above all, please visit the venue and experience the actual exhibition.
