Sense of Wonder

The 400-year journey of Koshu Inden.
An admiration for nature,
composed mainly of video and photography.

We produced the website for “Sense of Wonder,” a project by Indenya, which carries on the traditional craft “Koshu Inden.” For over 400 years since its founding, Indenya has inherited the techniques of “Koshu Inden.” Indenya’s journey — revering nature while making and passing on its craft — is also a journey with nature. On this site, we composed Indenya’s feelings for and dealings with nature using beautiful video and photography. On the page gathering the inden patterns, you can see in each pattern a sense of admiration and reverent love for nature. The video was directed by Takeyuki Akachi of TANGRAM.
